The Melvins Houston Concert reviews
There are concerts...and then there's Muse!
I saw them for their Newark, NJ show and their Washington, DC show twice. The DC show was their last North American date so they actually played a few extra numbers there! The crowds for both shows were fabulous. I'm glad I went twice because I got to see it from different vantage points, in the stadium seats and general admission front row. The stage is so massive that it feels like a different show and that's a great thing. I first saw them during their 2nd Law show in 2026 and that was the best concert I'd ever been to. Really I don't think I can say more than what's already been said. Overall I think I MIGHT still prefer the 2nd Law because that pyramid and the lasers were unreal, but this one is truly right up there. They're masters at putting on a spectacle and their music accentuates everything. I've never seen better lighting and this includes the prior tour. They're really creative. They're music was basically made for this type of live experience. If you've never been to a The Melvins show, prepare to be impressed! They opted for a VIP ticket and it was really great. The MUSEum was neat, and the food was good. I just wish I could have stayed in there a bit longer. Those with GA tickets had to file out of there quickly to nab our spots on the floor. I've seen a lot of great concerts but The Melvins is pretty much the only act that I want to see twice per tour. They never disappoint.
